Hawaiian Macadamia Nut Cake

Creamed butter and sugar combined with eggs. Wet mixture is combined with flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt. Macadamia nuts and shredded fresh pineapple complete this recipe before baking.
Ingredients -
1/4 cup Butter, softened
3/4 cup Light Brown Sugar
2 Eggs, beaten
1-3/4 cups Flour
2 teaspoons Baking Powder
1/4 teaspoon Baking Soda
1/2 teaspoon Salt
3/4 cup Macadamia Nuts, chopped
1 cup Shredded Fresh Pineapple with Juice
 
Preparation:

1. Preheat oven to 350 F.

2. In mixing bowl, cream butter with sugar. Beat in eggs.

3. In separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Set aside.

4. Stir macadamia nuts into butter mixture.

5. Stir in half the flour to creamed butter.

6. Add pineapple and stir well.

7. Stir in remaining flour mixture. Mix to smooth consistency.

8. Pour batter into greased springform pan.

9. Bake 1 hour.

Butter gives the best flavor when baking this cake. Don't be tempted to substitute with margarine.
